When the east coast losses its electricity from Irene, will the money spent on green energy projects be missed?

Question by : When the east coast losses its electricity from Irene, will the money spent on green energy projects be missed?
i’m in Beaumont Tx….We have gone through several hurricanes in the past few yrs.,and the power is always knocked out…Today with energy costs “skyrocketing” under Obama,AND THE ENVIRONMENTALISTS,and more and more money being diverted to green energy;how much has this affected the distribution and reliability of electricity? The power there will be knocked out for at least a couple of weeks…how will they deal with it?
will money redirected towards green energy effect the old reliable power-grid?
will the windmills collapse?

The real question is: can green energy save the Eastern Seaboard?

Can’t liberal projects harness all that wind power?

  1. This does not make sense.

I wonder what will happen to all the windmills in Cape Cod. Lol!

  3. Ask the power companies on the East Coast. A rant on Yahoo Answers won’t change anything…

“Fixing” the old reliable power grid” (there are actually three: the West of North America, the East of North America, and of COURSE Texas has its own) isn’t very cost-effective (the “long run” has finally arrived: trying to patch a system that is already nearly 100 years old is like trying to cure cancer with a Band-Aid).

  4. Those of us with our own “Green” supplies won’t have OUR power ‘knocked out’, silly goose…

I have to say that I am a little surprised that someone who lives in a part of Texas with open skies, and 212 sunny days a year still doesn’t have their own Solar panel system & storage capacity….are you too poor? Or just too ‘slow’ to catch on?

(God isn’t making any more coal or oil or Natural gas, just in case Gov. Perry is keeping that fact from you!)

  5. I’m just awaiting the word that it was Bush’s fault
