I bought this plate for my son (14 months) and it is working out quite well! For the most part I use ceramic ramekins for serving his food, but I like this plate for when we’ve got several different items. It is hard for him to scoop things off this plate with his spoon, but I think he’ll get the hang of it eventually.

We have been washing this in the dishwasher. Sometimes it has rust spots, but they wipe off.

I am happy to have found this plate, though, because I am really trying to limit the amount of plastic in my son’s world.

    Stickers don’t come off, November 15, 2012

As you can see from the product image, there’s a big sticker on the tray. The problem is that the sticker doesn’t come off – when you pull it off, half of the sticker including all the glue residue remains on the tray. The only way to get it removed is to use something like Goo Gone. And the thought of using a harsh chemical on a tray that’s meant for my 2-year old daughter to eat off is hardly appealing. Why the manufacturer didn’t think of this and used an easy to remove sticker is beyond my comprehension. While the tray itself seems to be okay, the sticker problem leads me to actively recommend against buying this tray. Other manufacturers like Sanctus Mundo are much smarter about this.
